26-Day Sailing Itinerary — Coron to Malapascua

Total Distance: ~400 nautical miles

Week 1 – Coron to Tablas Island

  • Begin with dives on Coron’s WWII wrecks – Irako, Akitsushima, Olympia Maru

  • Explore Barracuda Lake, Twin Lagoon, and Kayangan Lake

  • Depart Coron and sail south through the Calamianes Islands

  • Overnight anchorage at Linapacan – clear water and coral gardens

  • Continue to Tablas Island – beach anchorages, caves, and local fishing villages

  • Dive Looc Bay and nearby reef systems

Week 2 – Tablas to Sibuyan Island

  • Stop at Romblon Reef – excellent visibility and diverse coral formations

  • Visit Romblon Town – marble capital of the Philippines

  • Continue to Sibuyan Island – known as the “Galapagos of Asia”

  • Hike Mt. Guiting-Guiting foothills or swim in Cantingas River

  • Dive Sibuyan Sea drop-offs and search for pelagic encounters

  • Remote anchorages on Sibuyan’s west coast

Week 3 – Sibuyan to Gigante Islands 

  • Depart Sibuyan for Calagnaan Island – secluded beaches and coral bommies

  • Continue toward Gigante Islands – dramatic limestone cliffs and lagoons

  • Explore Tangke Lagoon and Cabugao Gamay viewpoint

  • Dive Antonia Reef and nearby pinnacles

  • Relax in Bantigue Sandbar during sunset

  • Optional local seafood feast on shore

Week 4 – Gigante Islands to Malapascua

  • Short hop to Carnaza Island – small and quiet anchorage with rich reefs

  • Drift dive Carnaza Reef or snorkel in its shallow coral gardens

  • Sail to Malapascua Island – famous for Thresher Shark encounters at Monad Shoal

  • Dive Gato Island caves and Lighthouse Reef

  • Relax and explore Bounty Beach village life

  • End expedition with a celebration dinner and final night under anchor
